Free Airport Tour

Pro Audio Systems were delighted to be associated with the ‘Free Airport Tour’ undertaken by up-and-coming singer / songwriter Ben Montague through the week of November 30th to December 4th.

Ben performed live sets in the new flagship Terminal 5 complex at Heathrow airport (Europe’s largest, handling 27 million passengers annually) as well as Gatwick, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh, entertaining passengers as they browsed the huge range of duty-free items whilst waiting to depart. This highly innovative integration of live performance with airport shopping was pioneered by World Duty Free, part of a group who operate the retail areas at airports throughout the UK and Europe.

Pro Audio Systems staff were on hand at all locations to provide technical support, and all the performances were relayed through the Meyer Sound systems installed by the company. The only additional equipment required for Ben’s performances was stage interfaces and live-performance control, the sophisticated loudspeaker systems being well up to the task in addition to their normal role of providing background music for shoppers.
