The Red Hot Chilli Pipers and Pro Audio Systems - Bagrock Rules!
Bradford-based Pro Audio Systems have just supplied a multi-channel Sennheiser wireless system to one of the most original musical and cultural phenomena in existence today.
Their unique show is described as ‘Bagpipes with attitude. Drums with a Scottish accent. A blazing rock band and a show so hot it carries its own health warning. The Red Hot Chilli Pipers have been rocking the world from New York to Beijing with musicianship of the highest order and a passion for pipes that will leave you breathless’.
Such is the demand for ‘Bagrock’ now that two identical troupes are working full time, one based predominantly in the UK and another which tours extensively throughout Europe, Australasia and the USA. This demand, plus the forthcoming changes in wireless audio legislation, drove the recent purchase of six Sennheiser EW572 instrument systems, fitted with Audio Technica ATM350 instrument mics. Pro Audio Systems staff configured the systems in a portable rack which also contained Sennheiser antennae splitters and antennae as well as customised rack drawer to hold the transmitters and accessories.
